Hearing And Obedience

Hearing God’s word implies that you are open and you have a yearning to know him on a deeper more meaning level. Obedience happens when you surrender your life to him. I realize obedience is one of the most challenging things to do in your walk with the Lord; it can cause you to struggle. As you know children find it hard to obey their parents even though it is the right thing to do. They want to make decisions that they do not have the maturity and wisdom to make. But it is better for us to obey God than to please men. We must be careful to live mindfully observe and obey the commandments by faith. We must overcome the tendency to do whatever please us instead of using the word of God as the foundation on which we live.

Jeremiah 7:23 (NLT)
