God of My Comfort, My Peace

The world seems to be in an uproar; there is chaos on every hand. We are living in times when we are bombarded by the horrific news that seems to never end. There seems to be no good news worthy of reporting; when will all the madness end. Yet, there three things that are forever true, I must say: Nothing happens unless God allows it, All power is in God’s hands because God is in charge, and All is well no matter how things appear. So, even when we go through the midst of troubles as we walk through the dry places in our lives and sometimes it seems death lurks at every turn I am at ease. I have peace because God is with me; he leads and guides me by the Holy Spirit as his angels watch over me and sometimes he carries me when I get too weak. God has given me and all who trust in him the kind of peace that the world cannot give, nor can his peace be taken away.
