Going Through Affliction (Blog)

I am acutely aware God is Sovereign, all power is in his hands; he alone is in control of the duration and intensity of our afflictions. During all pain and tragedy; we should always give thanks knowing it is the will of God and he will make it for our good. Being thankful during afflictions helps us keep our focus on God instead of our challenges and pains that may be emotional or physical. The things I know for sure are God’s love and mercies never end, he will never forsake us or leave us alone, he is our refuge and strength, he is our deliverer and healer, he will comfort and keep us, he assures us; weeping endures for the night but joy comes in the morning, he will wipe away the tears from our eyes, and he hears and answers every prayer.

Isaiah 43:2 (NLT)

When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.
