Be Not Silent, Lord (Blog)
God is real; he is never silent, absent, or too busy but God is always on time with just what we need. There are times we do things without seeking God’s will; then, we cry out to God and God is silent for a season. Then there are times when we are suffering , going through afflictions, we think God is silent and absent but God is ever-present. We must remember, God never put more on us than we can bear. God did not spare his own Son, Jesus who felt forsaken. Just remember, we go through dry places from time to time when we do not hear clearly from God and we may feel abandon but God is always with us. Spending time in the word of God when things are well with us keeps us in a place where we have clarity of mind and the ability to discern and know the truth.
Psalm 14:1-2 (MEV)
The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is none who does good. The Lord looks down from heaven on the children of men, to see if there are any who understand, who seek God. Isaiah 64:12 (ERV) Lord, will these things always keep you from helping? Will you continue to say nothing? Will you punish us forever?
Psalm 69:1-3 (NLT)
Save me, O God, for the floodwaters are up to my neck. Deeper and deeper I sink into the mire; I can’t find a foothold. I am in deep water, and the floods overwhelm me. I am exhausted from crying for help; my throat is parched. My eyes are swollen with weeping, waiting for my God to help me.
