Understanding God’s Mercy (Blog)
We live in a culture where some people have the tendency to be very judgmental and intolerant of others. Everything tends to happen quickly; even retaliation that is evidenced by road rage, drive by shootings and hate crimes all in the name of self-vindication and supremacy. We are so blessed that God is all-merciful, full of grace, loving and beneficent. Every Christian must come to grips with the infallible truth, we all have sinned and fall short of God’s glory and standards for righteousness. God requires us to act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with Him. In short, we deserve God’s judgment but he loves us so much until he gave himself as the sacrifice for our sins in the person of Jesus. He took the punishment we deserve, was crucified, buried in the tomb and rose again. Then, he gave us his Spirit to comfort us and teach us all truths. If you admit and believe that Jesus Christ is Lord, born of a virgin, that he was sacrificed for our sins and he is seated at the right hand of God, and confess your sins receiving Jesus as your Savior; you will be saved.
Isaiah 46:9-10 (NLT)
Remember the things I have done in the past. For I alone am God! I am God, and there is none like me. Only I can tell you the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish.
