Overcoming Challenges And Discouragement (Blog)

When you are going through trials, challenges and what seems like one storm after another; friends become few. They cannot seem to stand with you for one reason or another even though you were always available to them. They disappear like dewdrops in the hot summer sun. But, then, there is Jesus who never grows weary, you can always tell him about the things that trouble your heart or burden you in any manner. He will never marginalize, minimalize you troubles or scandalize your name…what a friend that is eternal and patient; the only one who can make a difference in your life. Therefore, when you have storms or see storm clouds rising, find shelter from it all our Savior. He will never put more on you than you can bear. When you feel like you are almost level to the ground, he is right the giving you a hand up helping you and sometimes carrying you and the burden. Occasionally you might be in awe about how you got over; know that it was our Promise Keeper. Be encouraged, trust in God who never fails or lack any good thing. No matter how hard things may seem, no matter what the cost, trust in the one who can restore to you all that which was taken or lost. Anticipate greater in this world and in eternity!

James 1:12-13 (NLT)

God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward, they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. And remember, when you are being tempted, do not say, “God is tempting me.” God is never tempted to do wrong, and he never tempts anyone else.
