Thank You, Father,For More Faith (Blog)
It is so easy to look outside one’s self and outside your door into the world to evaluate the things that are going on in someone else’s life, or in the community, the city, the state, the country, and the world. It takes a lot of faith and courage to face the person in the mirror truthfully without making excuses or blaming someone else for the state we find ourselves in. Not to minimize bad things that happen, but we must not be easily broken. We must search the word of God to find promises to stand on without relenting. We must be determined and know that God is with us and we are overcomers by faith not by what we see or what someone says. Let no one tell you what is too hard or impossible. All things are possible if you only believe and wait on the Lord so you can experience the full blessings of the Lord. We would not be able to take a flight today if the Wright brothers had given up. We would not have lights if Thomas Edison had given up…Never give up, never give in; press in with prayer and thanksgiving to God, he is faithful, he is the source of our strength, he is our banner and our defense. We would have no penicillin if Alexander Fleming had given up. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. God is everything we ever need, in Him, we are made complete and so are the desires of our hearts fulfilled. There is an open door that is given to us that no man can close…be faithful and thankful to the one that is our hope.
2 Corinthians 4:17-18 (NLT)
For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.
