Controlling Your Thoughts

The heavens are truly higher than the earth; so are the ways of God. What mortal man can understand the mind of The Infinite God who created all that is and will ever be? His ways are higher than our ways, his thoughts are higher than our thoughts; there is no one like him. It is he, Almighty God, who will empower us to take authority over our thoughts and actions through the power of the Holy Spirit. His word teaches in:

Proverbs 4:23 - Watch over your heart with all diligence, for from it flows the springs of life.

The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings out that which is good, and the evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings out that which is evil, for out of the abundance of the heart, his mouth speaks.

2 Corinthians 10:3-6 (ESV)

For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete.

Prayer

Our Father, I ask in the name of Jesus, help us take control and authority over our thoughts and actions through the power of the Holy Spirit. Help us grow and increase in you as we live mindfully by your word. In Jesus Name, I pray, being thankful for all that is given to me by grace and for my good. Amen!
