Ask The Holy Spirit To Guide You

Abba Father, My God In Whom I Trust And Love, I am here in this place where we meet in the cool of the morning, desiring to be guided by Your Spirit as I walk the Path of Life this day and always. In the stillness of the morning, I wait to hear from You, “Speak, Lord, Your child, and servant is listening. What am I to do this day? What is Your plan and purpose for my life today? Please show me the way by Your Spirit. Strengthen me and enlighten me, let me be obedient to Your word. Please, Lord, I ask You in the name of Jesus Christ, to fill me with the thoughts I am to think so my thoughts and actions align with Your plan and Your will. Father, Your word tells me that You have prepared things for those who love You that no eye has seen, or ear has heard, or that have not crossed the mind of any human being. I am waiting for You to reveal Your plan and will to me through Your Spirit. I know that the Spirit searches everything, including Your intricacies. Therefore, I ask You, Lord, let Your Spirit search me now. Please fix anything and everything that will hinder my walk with You. I renounce the world’s spirit…please purify me, open my eyes, my ears, and my understanding so that I can know and embrace the things given to me by You. The things that I am asking of You, Father, cannot be taught by human wisdom or their words; they can only be taught by Your Spirit. Let me be humble and never forget that Your Spirit made me, and Your breath gives me life; I cannot be without You, because You are the air I breathe and the beat of my heart. In You, I live, move, and have my being. I rise to this day more aware that I live because You are the One who breathed life into my body, and I continue to live in You because of my absolute dependence on You. I am confident that You, Almighty God, are in control of everything, including the day I take our final breath and return to You. Father, I continue this journey called life, asking You, in the name of Jesus Christ, to hold me close and guide me into Your truth through Your Spirit, so my living is not in vain and You are glorified. Hallelujah! Amen!

John 14:26-27 ESV: But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. Peace, I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. Titus 3:4-7 ESV: But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Please Remember, “The Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” There is work that God calls all of us to do, we are to love others, care for the poor, and live our lives in such a way that we point to the power of the gospel. We cannot hope to appease God by working our way into righteousness or sacrificing others for our own sins in a system where there is no equity.
