Being Set Apart For God’s Glory

Abba Father, My God who Sanctifies, The Lord of Our Righteousness who knows all about me and all humanity. O Lord, My Savior, You are my joy and peace, my Redeemer and my Guide, I still yearn to please You even though I have fallen so many times. I bow before The Throne of Mercy, asking You in the name of Jesus Christ, what am I to do this day? Let Your will be done in me and through me all the days of my life, let me live for Your glory, not my own edification. I also ask, let me use the time You have given me in a meaningful way while I live for Your glory. There are times when I may feel lonely, but I know for certain that I am never alone because Your Spirit lives in me and You carry me when I grow weak or feel like I cannot go on. My body is the temple where Your Spirit dwells, You are my life and love. So, I ask You, O Lord, give me the power and determination to take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead, let me expose them. I also refuse to take part in worthless evil deeds, joking and jesting, bullying others, and wicked schemes to rob and slander others, or waste time on useless meaningless works, mere busy work, or scheming to tear others down in words or deeds to fit in with a group, or just to make myself feel good or better than someone else. Father, I believe, and stand on every promise You and Your Son, Jesus Christ have ever made. I also believe You are everywhere at the same time, and You know everything. I am reminded that You set the time of my birth and death. You even knew me before You formed me in my mother’s womb, and even before the foundations of the earth were laid…You knew everyone and the purpose for which we are created, not just me. Therefore, I continue this journey called life, in the name of Jesus Christ, asking You, O Lord, let me be a light in this dark and fallen world and let my life reflect Your presence in me for all those I encounter along the way, and all that I do for Your glory and the building of Your kingdom. Hallelujah! Amen!

Galatians 5:16-17 ESV: But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 1 Peter 2:1-6 ESV: So, put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander. Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good. As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For it stands in Scripture: “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious, and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame.”

The LORD will hear you when you cry out to him.” Being alone is never alone because God is always near to the brokenhearted, just ask Him to instruct and strengthen you while You are set apart for a season.
