Caring For Others And The Earth

Abba Father, My First Desire and My Hope, and My God In Whom I Trust, I rise to this day with the awareness of Your great love for us. I am thankful that You care for me and all those for whom I pray. I ask You, O Lord, let me love and care for others like You love and care for me. Let me always be a good steward of all that is given to me, and let me always be mindful of how I use the earth’s resources. Let me always be respectful of the earth, knowing that everything that we enjoy comes from the earth. Let us be mindful and treat the earth like the beautiful garden it was intended to be. Father, Not only do I ask that we be respectful of the earth and use it is resources mindfully, but I also ask teach us how to love and respect one another. Please, teach us to truly love ourselves in a way that causes us to love and respect others with the awareness that we all came from You no matter the color of our skin, our eyes, our hair, our faith, or our social and economic status. Father, Your word tells us that giving help to the poor is like loaning money to You and You will pay those who are kind back for their kindness. I am acutely aware that giving is not always about money, we can encourage others, and give them a hand up, instead of a handout. We can teach people how to fish, instead of giving them one fish. Father, I ask You in the name of Jesus Christ, let us be gentle with ourselves, so we are humble, kind, and compassionate to one another, always forgiving each other, just as Christ Jesus forgives us. As I continue this journey called life, working as if I am working for You, Lord; let me never think more highly of myself than I ought to or look down on anyone unless I am helping them to stand up. Let me always live in divine love and peace with all humankind. Grant me the power and compassion to rejoice with those who rejoice, and mourn with those who mourn. Let me love and respect others always and be a good steward of the earth’s resources and all that is given to me under grace and for the good of humanity. Hallelujah! Amen!

Deuteronomy 15:11;24:14 ESV: For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore, I command you, ‘You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.’ “You shall not exploit a hired worker who is poor and needy, whether he is one of your countrymen or one of your strangers who are in your land in your towns.” 1 Corinthians 10:24 ESV: “No one should seek his own good, but the good of others.” Philippians 2:3-5 ESV: Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus.
