Come Now Holy Spirit, Always Guide Me
Our Father, My God, My Guide, My Teacher, I rise to this day with a repentant heart seeking forgiveness of sins, known and unknown; asking You O Lord, please show me the Way of Life, guide me, and teach me. Father, please speak to me through Your Spirit, keep Your hand on me and never let me go, especially in my moments of weakness. Father, my life and time are in Your hands, I cannot know or do anything without You. What am I to do this day, and for the remainder of my life? I just desire to do Your Will, so my living is not in vain. I plead and apply the Blood of Jesus to every aspect of my life. I ask You, O Lord for more strength and courage to walk the Path of Life obediently with determination, compassion, integrity, and divine hope. Father, let Your Spirit take control. I surrender to You, be my everlasting compass and Teacher. Empower me to tread out into deep spiritual waters with You, Lord each moment I live. Please, keep me focused with my eyes on You, so I do not sink in sin. Father, let my will align with Your Will, so I can go to another level if it is Your perfect Will to let it be. Let Your Spirit move in every aspect of my life, so Your plan and purpose for my life are fulfilled for Your glory and the good of humanity. Father, I also ask You, in the name of Jesus Christ, to open my eyes and understanding so I can better discern when it is Your Spirit Speaking to me, instead of my own passions or thoughts, or the enemy speaking to derail me. Father, let Your Spirit fill me with a strong, inner knowing, one that bears witness to my soul without any shadow of doubt…an inner witness. So, I continue through life in the name of Jesus Christ, being guided by Your Spirit with the awareness that my life is not about me and mine. I am here because You created me on purpose, with purpose. Therefore, I ask You, let Your Will be done in me, and through me always. Come now, holy Spirit, strengthen me and help me in my fight against sin. Thank You, Hallelujah! Amen!
John 16:12-14 NIV: “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. Galatians 5:16-21 NIV: So, I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other so you are not to do whatever you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions, and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
