Father, Let Your Light Shine In Darkness

Abba Father, My God in whom I trust with all my heart and soul with a repentant heart overflowing with gratitude and praise. Thank You for Your love, light, goodness, and mercy that overtakes me and sustains me as Your Spirit guides me along the Path of Life. Father, forgive me when I falter along the way. I look to You, the source of my strength, knowing that through You hope abounds. I am thankful that You go before me to prepare the way and Your Spirit is my guide and teacher. Even though I cannot see Your Spirit, I am confident the Spirit is with me and in me all the time. There are times when I feel Your Spirit moving in me and through me, like the wind moves the leaves on the trees…thank you for Your Presence. The earth is a beautiful place, but the enemy and his cohorts have cast a veil of darkness which causes some people to do all kinds of evil deeds. Father, I ask You, in the name of Jesus Christ, let Your light, the light of Christ, shine so bright that it puts to flight the darkness in the minds of humankind and divine love fills their hearts. I am reminded that while I am in this world, I am not of this world; I am here to do Your will. So, I look to You, Almighty God to carry me and all those for whom I pray through the dark and perilous times. Father, I ask You in the name of Jesus Christ, when and if I cannot see my way, open my eyes and understanding as I search Your Word. Let Your Word be a lamp for my feet and a light on my path. You are light and love, let me always be as You are, full of light, love, and compassion. Let Your light and love overcome and dissipate the darkness in my soul and the souls of humankind, especially the souls of those for whom I pray. I continue this journey called life, in the name of Jesus Christ, with absolute confidence that You are with me. I am unafraid of the darkness, because Your divine light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it, not ever, and Your Spirit is my compass and guide. Thank You, Lord, for Christ Jesus who is the light of the world. Hallelujah! Amen!

Psalm 27:1-2; 119:130 ESV: The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall, I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When evildoers assail me to eat up my flesh, my adversaries and foes, it is they who stumble and fall. The unfolding of your words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple. Ecclesiastes 11:7-8 ESV: Light is sweet, and it is pleasant for the eyes to see the sun. So, if a person lives many years, let him rejoice in them all; but let him remember that the days of darkness will be many. All that comes is vanity. James: 1:17 ESV: Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
