God Is Nearer Than You Think

Abba Father, My Lord, I come into Your presence with thanksgiving and praise with the acute awareness that I am never alone. I am thankful You hear my cries, You know my thoughts, and You know and see where I am at all times. You are attentive, You see me, and You care about me and my wellbeing. Your word tells me: “You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. You are never surprised by what I do or say because You are the source of my strength, in You, I live, I breathe, I move, and do all the things You created me to do under grace with integrity and love. I thank and praise You for holding me close in love and for delivering me whenever I call. I am thankful You protect me, and You will guard me and keep me in all my ways while Your angels walk beside me, and You prepare the way for me. Father, I am thankful You are as close as my breath, without You, I cannot breathe; I am lost without You. In You, there are always provisions, hope, joy, mercy, and peace. I am thankful that You make sure that I find that ram You have placed in a bush. I am thankful there is no failure in You, Your word is alive, powerful, and trust-worthy. It will always accomplish Your purpose, even though I may not fully understand. I choose to wait, knowing that we all go through times of testing, even then, You are there to strengthen me and carry me if I get too weak to stay on the path before me. Lord, God, as I ponder the state of the world, I am confident so many people are ruled by fear, that is why they hate. Your word tells me, “ We must come to know and believe the love that You have for us. You are love, and whoever abides in love abides in You, and You abide in them. Through this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as You are, so are we in this world.” I continue this journey called life knowing, there is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. Because fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. Therefore, I ask You, O Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ, let me always love as You love me, and forgive as I have been forgiven. Hallelujah! Amen!

Acts 17:24-30 ESV: The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man, nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything. And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us, for in him we live and move and have our being; as even some of your own poets have said, for we are indeed his offspring.
