Good Stewardship

Abba Father, The Creator of Everything and Everyone, I rise to this day in the name of Jesus Christ by the strength and power of the Holy Spirit, with gratitude and praise and with the acute awareness that the earth and its fullness belong to You alone even though we have been made stewards of the earth, our children and all the things You have entrusted us with. I know stewardship is recognizing that everything we have and everything we are, is a gift from You alone and we are to be grateful and generous with those gifts while we care for the resources of the earth and others. I am thankful and grateful for all that is given to me under grace. You reveal to each one of us Your perfect and infinite love that is most visible in the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Father, I ask You, in the name of Jesus Christ empower me to be a good steward who makes Your love visible by emulating Jesus. I am very aware that good stewardship is not just about money. It is an orientation toward You, our Sovereign God, and our relationship with You that presumes certain character traits and attitudes toward Your resources and the gifts You have entrusted us with, our children, and others. Awaken those who constantly gather and store without consideration for You, others, and the earth that they brought nothing into this world and when they leave, they will leave as naked as they came no matter what kind of garments, they bury their bodies in; they will take nothing and know nothing. Father, I ask You, in the name of Jesus Christ, let me be Your faithful servant, lead me, guide me, direct me, and teach me, so, all that I do and say align with Your will and purpose for my being here on earth. Therefore, I ask You, Almighty God, in the name of Jesus Christ, to keep me in the palm of Your hand while You empower me to walk the Path of life with integrity and love doing the things You created me to do for Your glory, the good of earth and others. Please, let me forget whatever I sow, that also shall I reap, and let me always remember and stand on Your word, and look to You. Hallelujah! Amen!

Deuteronomy 8:17-18 NIV: You may say to yourself, “My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.” But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today. Ephesians 5:15-18 NIV: “Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit…”

Grand Rising Everyone! Remember, “Good stewardship” is a way of life that honors God and all those we come in contact with or are charged with caring for. While it includes giving of our means to God, that is just one aspect of how we steward our money and other resources. We must care for the earth and each other. Each one of us will give an account of ourselves to God. Have a glorious, victorious day in the Lord! Amen, and so it is!
