Gratitude To See Another Year Begin

Our Father, My Lord, Jehovah God Almighty and Merciful, I am here in our Sacred Place with a repentant heart overflowing with gratitude and praise for the privilege to start all over again in You. Father, I am thankful that You know what the next moment will bring because You have a plan for my life, for humanity, and for the earth. No one but You knows the way forward, they may have many plans but if they do not align with Your will, they will fail. As I ponder the state of the world today, it is evident that so many plans those who are supposed to be stewards of the people and the earth have made were done without them consulting You first. That is why so many are homeless, hungry, thirsty, poorly clothed, brutally treated, and oppressed. There are those who work hard, but cannot pay their rent, or buy food, and they are over-taxed and vilified. Yet, they can forgive those who persecute them, and they bless those who speak evil about them. Lord, I am thankful that You hold us close and give us the strength to endure whatever we are going through joyfully, full of hope, and with integrity. I am thankful that You alone are in charge, we are never forsaken, and You know the path we will walk going forward. It does not matter how many times we are disappointed, or how we are troubled, or how many loved ones transition, or how many times our hearts are broken and full of grief, or how much we lose along the way…You always comfort us and give us the chance to begin again with a new perspective on life. I am thankful that You bring us to the place where we are thankful for all that is given to us to experience and enjoy along the way. We are thankful for the time we shared with our loved ones and the places we went and all that is given to us to enjoy in each season of our lives. I am thankful that those who are weary experience a time of refreshing and restoration, they are made strong, and the lonely experience Your presence and realize they are never alone. Father, I continue this pilgrimage called life with gratitude and praise in the name of Jesus Christ, knowing You have the last word. Hallelujah! Amen! Isaiah 43:18-19 ESV: “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. 2 Corinthians 5:17-19 ESV: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.

Please remember, “You shall decree a thing and it shall be and the light will shine upon your ways.” Words and thoughts have power, therefore be careful what you think or say about yourself and others. Whatever you say about others, if you do so wrongfully will come to your door and enter your home and rest on you. Therefore, bless those who persecute you, endure it. Let the Lord work it out for you. You will find your way through to a better place by grace and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Believe God will lead You by grace, and so it shall be! Amen!
