Jehovah Shalom, My Peace

Abba Father, My God, I rise to this day in the name of Jesus Christ, by the power and strength of the Holy Spirit, praising You and thanking You for being my peace in this world where there is pride, constant strife, trouble, blatant misuse of power by those in high places, so much sickness, and suffering, hatred, oppression, murdering, and disunity. Awaken us to the truth that pride is the root cause of every over-inflated ego, the quest for greatness, sin, and evil in the universe. We are living in this world where cruelty to humankind has become commonplace and people seem to love their pets and things more than other humans. Do they not know we share the same fate? Let us learn to love and forgive…so, we see the beauty and value in all creation. Your word tells me: Surely the fate of human beings is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both: As one dies, so dies the other. All have the same breath]; humans have no advantage over animals. Everything is meaningless. All go to the same place; all come from dust, and to dust all return. Who knows if the human spirit rises upward and if the spirit of the animal goes down into the earth?” Father, I ask You in the name of Jesus Christ, to open the eyes and understanding of those who seem to be too blind to discern and know the truth, so, they are no longer misled by those whose intentions are for evil and their greatness. I am acutely aware that worldly glory and greatness are measured by a person's position, wealth, accomplishments, family status, etc. But how different is Your glory and greatness as seen in Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection? Father, I ask You, to grant us divine peace that surpasses all understanding, so we live humbly before You and man, and relieve our anxieties. Father, I continue this journey called life, in the name of Jesus Christ, with the assurance that I am in the palm of Your hand, and You will order my steps because I find joy and peace in You. I am certain that if I stumble, I will not fall if I fall…You will lift me up because You alone hold me with Your hand…thank You! Let Your will be done in me this day and always. Hallelujah! Amen!

Psalm 34:3-5 NIV: Glorify the LORD with me; let us exalt his name together. I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame. 1 Thessalonians 5:10-11 NIV: He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. Therefore, encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. 1 Peter 5:6-8 NIV: Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Be alert and of a sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

Remember, “When it seems like the whole world is against You and you cannot find comfort anywhere, or you feel you are absolutely unable to cope with what is right in front of you at the moment, turn to the Lord who is always right there, waiting to hear from you. He will indeed grant you comfort, strength, and peace of mind; even during your darkest hours.” Have a glorious, victorious day in the Lord! Amen, and so it is!
