Stay Close To God

Abba Father, My God, I humbly come into Your presence to worship and honor You, the only One who knows what is best for me, the One who loves and cares for me, and supplies all that I need and desire every moment I live. Father, I rise to this day with gratitude and praise, believing if I abide in You, You will always be close to me. I confess You are the Lord of my life, my first desire. Consequently, You are first in my life, so I keep my eyes always on You. I am thankful that You give me wisdom on how to respond to the things that do not align with Your will every moment I walk the Path of Life with You as my first desire, the center of my life and soul. As I ponder and study Your Word, I am confident I can trust You to do whatever I ask in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Your word tells me if I stay joined to You, Lord, You will stay joined to me. It also says no branch can produce fruit alone, it must stay connected to the vine. Therefore, it is the same with me, I cannot do anything apart from You, I must stay connected to You, the Source of all life and salvation without distractions. As I kneel here in Your presence, basking in Your glory, I thank You for Your goodness and tender mercy, for drawing me close to You and forgiving me and being my refuge and strength. I also thank You for being my Sovereign Lord, my Way-Maker, my Healer, my Defender and my Justifier, my Joy, and the One who gives me life, and for sustaining me in every aspect of my life each moment I live. Father, I continue this journey through life in the name of Jesus Christ, with expectancy, gratitude, and praise, knowing I can trust You to keep every promise You have ever made to me for my good and the good of those whose lives I touch and the ones whose lives touch mine, and humanity, the earth, and the vast universe. Hallelujah! Amen!

John 15:4-7 ERV: Stay joined to me and I will stay joined to you. No branch can produce fruit alone. It must stay connected to the vine. It is the same with you. You cannot produce fruit alone. You must stay joined to me. “I am the vine, and you are the branches. If you stay joined to me, and I to you, you will produce plenty of fruit. But separated from me you will not be able to do anything. If you do not stay joined to me, you will be like a branch that has been thrown out and has dried up. All the dead branches like that are gathered up, thrown into the fire, and burned. Stay joined together with me, and follow my teachings. If you do this, you can ask for anything you want, and it will be given to you. James 4:8 NLT: “Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.” When we seek God with all of our hearts and draw near to Him, we will feel His presence once again.
