The Enemy Has A Hold On The Mind Of Unbelievers

Abba Father, My God, and Jehovah M’Kaddesh, My Lord Who Sanctifies Us and makes us holy because we are incapable of it on our own. Father, I rise to this morning with the awareness that this life is filled with sadness and pain, lack and wanting, and attacks from the enemy and his cohorts. As I ponder the state of our world today and how wrong is called right, right is called wrong, there is violence of every kind around the clock, and hate is like an invasive weed that is spreading everywhere. So many people are looking to humankind to help and save them when salvation comes from You alone. I realize the trials we go through are not punishment, but stepping stones on the road to success...trials cannot break us when we look to You as our source, they only fortify us and make us stronger. I understand You can take what is evil and make it good, You give us beauty for ashes. I know that we can only overcome evil through love and goodness. “We must bless those who persecute us; bless and do not curse…Lord, give us strength and bridle our tongues so, we do not say the wrong thing. Please give us the boldness to stand, even if we must stand alone…let us never conform to this world. I know friendship with the world is enmity with You, therefore, I will rather be rejected by the world. Father, let me and all those who look to You never get in just to fit in or, living in, agree with and love the lusts of the flesh and the driving spirit behind them … self, self, self! I am acutely aware we cannot do that and be Your friend. You are more valuable than anything or anyone that we may lose. Therefore, Father, please strengthen us so that we avoid worldliness and give us the wisdom to know that we must love everyone, even our adversaries. Let us walk the Path of Life with the awareness that the enemy has a hold on the mind of unbelievers evidenced by them following the wisdom of this world. So, I ask You, Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, hold us close and never let us go as we continue this journey called life living mindfully with compassion, gratitude, and love for You and humanity, especially our adversaries. Hallelujah! For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. 1 Peter 5:7-9 NIV: Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Be alert and of a sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of suffering. It is also used for people rooted in the world or focused on physical and material things around them, rather than on spiritual matters.
